1. Wrong Pronunciation

There are nine tones in six distinct tone contours in Cantonese. Pronunciation of Cantonese takes time and practice, especially if your first language is quite different from Cantonese.

2. Limited Vocabulary

You may learn lots of words by yourself and find it difficult to memorize.

3. Struggling with Grammar Rules

Grammar rules are an essential part of language learning but can also be challenging to master. If you don't know certain grammar rules, you will have difficulties making basic sentences.

  • Is it a group course or 1 on 1 course?

    It's a group course. There are around 2-4 students for each class. We won't start a lesson until there is more than 1 student.

  • Which time is your available time?

    6 AM-9 AM;8 PM-11 PM EST; 12 PM-23 PM (Sydney Time); 9 AM- 22 PM (HK Time) Every Monday-Sunday.

  • Do I have to start the course at a certain time?

    You can join this course at any time. Teacher Gloria will contact you. We will discuss the class schedule together and find your classmates to learn Cantonese with you.

  • How long do I have to complete it?

    This course will last 10 weeks, including 20 classes (twice a week) After you finish this course, you can continue to review this course in 60 days. And you can still contact me and ask questions. I will be always on your side during your Cantonese journey.

  • If I miss a tutorial, can I make it up by attending a tutorial on/at a different day/time?

    Sorry, I can't rearrange another lesson for you since it will be too complicated. I understand there are some barriers blocking our way to learning but I hope you can challenge yourself and make it. If you miss our class, you can still watch the recordings of the class and catch up with our progress.

  • How can we have class?
